If they can speak French, so can you!

It's true that celebrities might feel out of touch to some of us, but they too have to put in the time and effort to learn another language and it can be a great motivator for your own learning to hear their success stories.

  • Jodie Foster - went to the lycée français in Los Angeles and spends a lot of time in France
  • Jane Fonda - the beloved actress and climate change activist perfected her French later in life during her marriage to French film director Roger Vadim

  • John Malkovich - also went to the lycée français in Los Angeles; he is fluent in French and for nearly 10 years, lived and worked in a theatre in southern France
