I studied German and English at university in Paris and when I arrived in London in 1993, I worked as a paralegal in the French department of a London law firm for 15 years. When my children were born, I took a break and decided it was time for a career change. After some years of professional experience teaching French to children in my own after-school club and completing a few courses with CAVILAM/Alliance Française, I moved on to training adults in conversational French and have been successfully teaching teenagers and adults for 6 years.
I use a communicative method which allows conversation skills and confidence to flourish whilst providing a strong base in grammar. This is reinforced by the use of digital resources and authentic documents. Last but not least, my lessons are always relaxed, engaging and fun yet effective.
Most people I work with love all things French and want to be able to mingle with the natives so whether you want to travel or buy a holiday home in France, learn about French culture, prepare an exam or an interview, I will be delighted to assist you on your language learning journey.
